2 Couples + 1 Amazing Photographer= 2 LOVELY Engagement sessions!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Now that we are in 2010.. I am getting very VERY excited for what this year holds!!

So many weddings to look forward to, & I cannot wait to be a part of each & every ones of them…

To get the year started I would like to kick it off with 2 great couples ( Heidi & Mark and Susan & Trey) AND 1 AMAZING photographer. DENISE BOVEE. If you haven’t heard of her… GO check her out right now! Her work is fresh & beautiful!!

First Engagement session is Heidi & Mark. These two love birds are getting married later this year in June. I was so thrilled to meet Heidi…. she brought so much joy to my day. I loved her fresh glowing make-up and soft/casual hair! It fit her to a T!

Second Engagement session is the ever so handsome Susan & Trey!

The gorgeous couple are tying the knot in February. Its coming up & I am sure the count down is on for these two!

I was able to do Susan’s preview the same day as her Engagement hair & Make-up.

I was happy to do a bit more dramatic eye for her look. She decided to bring her hair to an asymmetrical side bun for the first portion of the shoot, then bring it all down for a bit of a messy look for the second half!

Cameron & Veronica….. so in love!!!

The Lovely Veronica & her newly wedded Husband Cameron tied the not 10.2.09 At the beautiful Rancho Capistrano in Orange County! I was so excited to be a part of Veronica’s BIG day. She was the greatest bride to work with. I had the chance to meet with her a few times through the process, (with her preview, Engagement session & Hair cut!) therefore I was able to get to know her more & more each time. She’s a real girl with a real heart!

I couldn’t be happier for her & Cameron. They look so happy & I hope that happiness carries on for the rest of their lives together.

HAIR: Veronica has awesome hair…. I’m telling you, anything I did with it, it would do. It was perfect no matter what. I felt so lucky to have such great luck with her hair, it did whatever I wanted it to do. Veronica’s inspiration was by the Eva Longoria loose, low, & all up chignon, with a few tendrils & her veil, she was a bride to die for…. I LOVED! With a few changes to make sure it fit to Veronica’s style it was a perfect match for her on her wedding day!

MAKE-UP: Veronica was very simple when it came to her make-up. It worked great for her features. I used tones that complimented her skin tone as well as her wedding colors. A simple neutral shadow blended with a few light shades of purple and golds! Lovely lashes, H2O proof mascara, and black liner to open up her eyes. I kept it pretty soft on her cheeks, just enough to make them glow, Her lips were pretty simple as well…. to blend in with the rest of the face, I used a lovely Natural toned liner, A lip color called Heather & a lip gloss called Super copper! Which is pretty much my favorite combo!!!

This is Melissa & Chris!

Allow my self to introduce The lovely Melissa & Chris! So cute together aren’t they!?

I have to tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Melissa, She was so happy & joyful. Getting married for all the right reasons. Her & Chris are SO happy & in love , its sickening. I really did enjoy dolling up Melissa & all of her Bridesmaids, Everyone was delightful & ready to celebrate the beginning of Melissa & Chris’s life together.

Lets begin with her beautiful hair.

HAIR: Melissa has the greatest hair. I love her color too! It went perfectly with her style. Melissa chose to wear her hair half up half down. We added volume on top to spice it up and brought the sides up & pinned them in a criss cross movement in the back.

MAKE-UP: I LOVED Melissa’s make-up. So fresh yet deep. Her eyes were a bit more drama, but even though, they looked fabulous. With bronzed & gold toned shadows, black liner for depth & lashes for drama, Along side of her lovely cheeks & lips, she looked perfect.

Love+ Beauty= Nancy & Edward’s Wedding!

What an absolute beautiful wedding this was. From the Brides dress to the hotel & Venue. I think I am in love with every single detail. Nancy was so fabulous to work with, always so happy & sweet. Nancy is so in love with Edward it shows in her every move. I love when couples are so in love you can just see it in everything they do!

Moving on…. Nancy & Edward’s wedding was also featured on Style me pretty. Check it out. Part 1 HERE & part 2 HERE! Thats how fabulous this wedding was.

HAIR: Nancy was a doll when she came for her preview. It made me SO excited to be a part of your wedding day. I think she got excited too.. She even blogged about it!

She has the most thick, luscious, long hair. She wanted it all up, but pretty soft & loose. It was a perfect match for the style of her dress, & the flower completed her hair style.

MAKE-UP: Nancy is a gorgeous all natural girl. She would look great without make-up. BUT because it was the most special day of a girls life we spiced it a bit. Still natural but a bit more made up then normal. She glowed, looked happy & was so delightful & thats all that matters right!?

She was a perfect bride…… enough said!

The ever so fabulous JESSICA & JEFF!!!!

Aloha From Hawaii! My husband & I took some time away to visit this amazing state, & boy has it been beautiful!

We have visited Oahu, & Maui. I actually had a wedding in Maui, so it has been a little bit of work, but mostly play. My sister Amelia & her Husband Justin were with us most of the week, They photographed the wedding. It has been the perfect get away!

Moving along……..

Allow myself to introduce the EVER SO FABULOUS JESSICA & JEFF!!!!

Many of you may recognize Mrs. Jessica, she is the famous Jessica Claire Photographer, & doesn’t she look fabulous!? First of all, let me begin with saying how amazing this wedding was. Located in NAPA at a beautiful secluded winery. The decor was great, the colors, cake, food, bride & groom, everything was PERFECT!

The wedding was coordinated by The one & only Angel Swanson from Events of Love & splendor! I have worked with Angel many of times & she has to be one of the best in the business! Check out all the details from the wedding HERE & HERE.

I was so thrilled when Jessica called and asked if I would do her H&M for her wedding. It was a dream come true to be a part of her wedding, Lets just say I felt pretty fortunate. Not only was I a vendor, but I was also privileged enough to be a guest. The Ceremony was so nice. The groom, Jeff was so sweet. You can see it in his eyes how much he loves & adores Jessica. Cocktail hour was pretty much awesome & the reception was a blast. From the food, music, entertainment, & toasts, I’d have to say it was the nicest wedding I have ever attended! Now on to the Hair & make-up:

HAIR: Jessica has the most gorgeous, long, red hair. She didn’t have to go very far from that to get what she wanted for her wedding day “look”. She told me she wanted it down with loose curls, and very big, like couture BIG hair. I used a lot of teasing & hairspray. I especially LOVED her hair pieces, for both the ceremony, & reception. It went perfectly with her theme & decor.

MAKE-UP: I absolutely LOVED . LOVED. LOVED Jessica’s Make-up. She knew exactly what she wanted & it was great. It went perfectly with her eye , skin & hair color. Her shadows consisted of copper, shimmer golds, & bronzed tones. Her cheeks were dusted with a light pink, & her lips, I used a Rose lip tint with a shimmered gloss to blend in with her eyes. It was amazing. The make-up made her eyes POP & looked great in all the photos. If you don’t believe me, Take a look for your self. AMAZING.

Congratulations to Jessica & Jeff. You two are beautiful together. Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your lovely day, I had a great time making you & all your girls look fabulous!

Dawn Married Jared! I think they BOTH scored!

Dawn & Jared. Don’t these two go great together?

I first met Dawn for her preview & Instantly fell in love with her. She was so excited to have me to her H&M. I couldn’t have been more flattered. She said “I think your work is amazing and I would be thrilled, honored, relieved and yipppee happy if you’re available Sat. Aug. 15 for my LA wedding (hair + make-up.) I was just checking out Marlin Munoz’ blog (our photographer) and came across pictures from Jenny’s wedding a couple of weeks ago. My jaw dropped when I saw her gorgeous up do! I have yet to book hair/make-up gal because I’ve been holding out for someone that knocked my socks off … and alas … here I am, begging and pleading for you to be the one! :-)”

How could I say no to that? Well I was happy to free for her wedding date & couldn’t have been more pleased with the out come of her hair & make-up. She knocked the socks off Jared when he first saw her walk down that isle!

Congrats to the Bride & Groom, & to a happily ever after!

To the hair & make-up!

HAIR: Dawn came in for her preview & pretty much knew exactly what she wanted. Of coarse We tried out the hair style & she wasn’t 100% sure that it was the style for her after all. She came in a 2nd time & we perfected the style. I think the hair & make-up ALWAYS turn out even better on the wedding day then at the actual preview. Dawn’s hair was unbelievable! we brought it to the side, giving her an asymmetrical look,I kept the curls soft and flowing across her head. Lovely!

MAKE-UP: Dawn’s make-up was fantastic….. Because her choice of wedding colors were… Purple! We decided to bring out her eyes by adding purple tones to her shadows. I love when bride’s have color in their faces. We kept it deep but not too dramatic. But because her eyes were a bit deeper we kept her cheeks & lips more neutral. I thought it looked great on her skin tone & looked flawless in photos! Beautiful!

Nancy is HOT & Edward is handsome, Don’t they look HAPPY!?

Well Hello Friends.

This is Nancy & Edward. They are so happy & in love. I was so excited to be a part of their special day & be able to be there for her & her wedding party. I love doing the hair & make-up for my brides, Seeing their faces as they look at themselves in the mirror when they put on their dress, or veil, so PRICELESS! It gives me chills to know that I helped make their day complete. I really do appreciate having so many great clients, it has been a lovely summer of weddings & I was so thrilled to be there for every single one of those girls!

HAIR: OMG! Nancy was a classic bride. Her dress, colors, location & even her choice of hair & make-up. Nancy’s hair was gorgeous. A classic style that she will still love 30 years from now. It complimented her face, as well as her style of dress ( which was amazing by the way!) She chose to have her fringed pompadoured up out of her face, I think it showed off her eyes & beautiful smile. The rest of her hair was loosely curled and places cascading down her head. We left a few pieces out to add softness to the style. I loved her choice of hair accessory, A huge flower with feathers… oh so perfect.

MAKE-UP: Nancy chose to keep it all natural on her wedding day. I have said this before & I will say it again! Brides like to look like themselves on their wedding day, If anything just a made up version of themselves. I believe Nancy has achieved this look. Check for yourself, she was a breath taking bride. I kept it soft with more peachy, rose tone on her eyes, lips & cheeks. Of coarse I added lashes & black liner for depth, but for the most part it was great for her style. I loved it!

LARA + TIM + Amelia Lyon Photography= An Amazing Wedding!!!

Well hello, I am getting better at this blogging thing.

I am happy to introduce the lovely Lara & Tim. Such an amazing couple at their amazing wedding.

I first met Lara for her E-session. (Click HERE to view photos.) It was a pleasure meeting this girl. She has so much strength and is so smart & beautiful. I was honored when she asked me to do her H&M for her wedding.

We met a few times before the BIG day for her preview & her color. I have to say, I was SO excited to do her wedding. She has the most perfect hair to style & the most perfect cheek bones, eye lids and lips for make-up. She is naturally so gorgeous. I was there just to add to it.

HAIR: lara’s hair is super thick and long. We did a few hair styles for her preview and ended up with this style to start off with. I LOVED HER HAIR! I first set her entire head to set the curl. I loosely up pined each curl and let it simply fall into place. I pinned her hair up piece by piece, until her hair was all up in a low soft chignon. With her fringe, I finger pieced her hair until it fell perfectly to compliment her facial shape. I DIED!

MAKE-UP: Like I said Lara has perfect everything. Eye’s, cheeks,& lips. Lets start with Eyes: As you can see Lara had bright blue eyes. I wanted to use a color that complimented her coloring in both skin tone & eye color. I went towards a very soft but deep pink/purple. Not too much though. I used that color in her crease and blended with a soft peach, and highlighted with light pink. We added black liner for depth & as always, lashes. Cheeks, I contoured her bones with a soft plum and highlighted under her eyes with a iridescent shimmer. Lips were easy.. natural liner with my favorite lip gloss, Super copper. Its a great gloss that has a tint of copper shimmer with pink/rose tones! AMAZING!

Lara Asked me to come back for touch ups after the ceremony & photos! I have brides that most often then most just stick to their hair style they had all day, BUT Lara on the other hand, wanted to spice things up a bit for the reception. I was SO excited for this style, since she has such great locks. We kept the top of the hair style from her first look, but took down the bottom half to let loose. Isn’t is BEAUTIFUL!?

The CARL & LAUREN!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVED Carl & Lauren’s Wedding! So Beautiful & elegant wouldn’t you say!?

They make a couple to die for & you can just see it in their eyes how much they each LOVE and adore each other. They are SO meant to be together!

Lauren was referred to me by their amazing photographer Chenin Boutwell. I couldn’t have been more excited. Chenin is a talented photographer & she definitely put her talent to the job for Carl & Lauren’s wedding ( not like she ever doesn’t) But this time I think it went above & beyond.

I was able to meet Lauren for her E-session & wedding day & It was great meeting a bride so down to earth & loving like her. I got along with her so well & she had this energy that made you want to be her friend forever.

HAIR: Lauren had lovely hair. She decided to go with a bit more earthy look.. loose, low, & asymmetrical. I died when she whipped out her hair piece, it magical made the hair style perfect for her.

MAKE-UP: Lauren has a gorgeous face. We kept the theme and put the natural earthy tones to use in the coloring on her face. Of coarse she had lovely coloring in her skin tones. The blush & lip color just added to her beauty!

HELLO HOLLY & JARED!!

Holly is gorgeous. Don’t these two make the most perfect couple? So hot together. I was lucky enough to help Holly throughout her wedding process, not only by doing her hair & make-up for her wedding, but I was also able to do her hair & make-up for her Engagement session AND I was able to colored & cut her hair for her. LOVELY color… right!?

HAIR: Holly has so much hair.. although it’s fine, she has A LOT of it. So much to work with, it was fun! With her fantastic color & gorgeous hair piece, we decided to do a style that would compliment both. It was a very clean, soft, asymmetrical up do! it was perfect for her and her style.

MAKE-UP: Holly has a beautiful face. She didn’t need much make-up to make her glow. We kept it natural yet soft. Stayed nude on her eye tones, and pinkish on the cheeks & lips. I thought she had this natural glow about her the entire day… her natural beauty showed through her make-up. I can tell that her & Jared will have a long happy marriage. For sure an happily ever after.
